What is your renewable promise?

Most of our plans come with a renewable promise. It means for every bit of home electricity you use, we’ll make sure that enough renewable energy is produced each year to cover it.

Our renewable promise isn’t an accredited product or part of the GreenPower Program.

An external agency audits our renewable promise every year. Their most recent audit is here.

Do you have a solar plan?

Sure do – it’s called Solar Step-Up. It’s got the highest feed-in tariff of all our plans (apart from those on retired solar schemes). It’s available to you if:

    • you’re in a house or small to medium business,
    • you’re in Victoria, NSW, SA or SE Queensland,
    • your generating capacity is 10kW or less, and
    • you’re not currently on a retired solar scheme.

Even if you’re not eligible for Solar Step-Up, you could still get a feed-in tariff on our other plans (just at a different rate).

You can find out exactly what the feed-in tariff is on each of our plans by choosing ‘Estimate by address’ on our energy plans page. We use your address to identify your solar meter so we can show you compatible plans and the most accurate rates and feed-in tariff.

What is Move Mate?

Move Mate is our product made especially for movers to get their new place connected. You'll save on some electricity connection fees if you're on Move Mate electricity rates. Read more about moving.

Are there connection fees for moving?

In normal circumstances, yes. These depend on your distributor and how quickly you need to get your new place connected. You can see our fees page here.

If you're on our Move Mate electricity plan, we'll waive certain connection and disconnection fees when you move.

Do you have peak and off-peak rates?

Whether or not you have peak and off-peak rates depends on which network tariff you're on. If you want to find out more, give us a call on 1300 662 778 during opening hours.

What is a supply charge?

A supply charge or daily charge is the fixed amount you pay daily to be connected to the energy network.

What’s Solar Step-Up and who can get it?

Solar Step-Up is our plan for solar panel owners, with a higher feed-in tariff than our other market offers (apart from those on retired solar schemes). You’re eligible for it if:

• you’re in a house or small to medium business,
• you’re in Victoria, NSW, SA or SE Queensland,
• your generating capacity is 10kW or less, and
• you’re not currently on a retired solar scheme.

Who is eligible for the Welcome Credit?

You can get a Welcome Credit on our Bill Boss plan when you sign up a new site or new fuel with Momentum. So it’s available to new customers, and to existing customers who add a new site (for example, if they’re moving house) or sign up to gas when they’ve already got electricity with us (or vice versa).

When will the Welcome Credit be paid?

The Welcome Credit gets added to your first electricity or gas bill (like a little warm, fuzzy welcome basket). But it won’t get added to a final invoice – so if you only stay with us for one bill, you won’t get the credit. Want to know more? Check the Product Terms.
